The Essence of Linear Light Diffusers Unveiled
LEDs are one of the types of lighting that have received much attention in recent years due to their low consumption and long life. Also, these light bulbs have a very small volume, and this has made it possible to use them in decorative cases, etc. All kinds of LED strips are of this type. But the main question here is, do you know the relationship between the power supply and the LED strip? The better side of the question is, how can we choose the right power supply for our LED strip?
In the market, they mainly use 12V voltage source . This voltage source is very widely used and of course it is used for a wide variety of LED strips . But to answer the above question, one very important point should be noted.
We can consider two types of energy consumption for LED strips based on the type of current and the size of the LEDs and a few other factors . We will discuss these issues further. Based on this information, a suitable power supply can be determined for each type of LED strip. See Chique lighting LED strip lights.
Power supply based on consumption with constant voltage
In this type of power supply, the amount of brightness and its quality depends on the voltage change. In simpler words, if you want to use your LED strip based on a constant voltage power supply, you must be careful about changing its voltage. Based on this feature, the lighting power can be changed using voltage resistors. In fact, the use of resistance in changing the voltage is one of the solutions that can change the light power in this type of power supply. This work is very important to have a thread with the ability to change the power of light. Read: LED Strip Lights: Internal structures, voltage dynamics and practical configurations
The important thing about this type of power supply is that the thread circuit can be open in this mode and this issue is not important for constant voltage. But you can’t short circuit the circuit. This can cause the entire circuit to be interrupted. Also note that this circuit is called constant voltage because the input voltage is almost equal to the output voltage, but the input and output current can vary based on the type of consumption.
Power supply based on constant current consumption
- In this type of power supply, the number of consumed LEDs in the strip is determined based on the maximum current. Unlike constant voltage, in constant current source you can use short circuit but be careful that you cannot have open circuit in the system. In this type of power supply, the input current can be controlled using resistance, and in fact, it issues the main command to change the current. In this case, the input current is not equal to the output current, and it is not possible to say with certainty whether the input voltage is equal to the output or not.
